Antigo Mayor Resigns, Interim Mayor Selected
ANTIGO – The Antigo city council has announced that they have accepted the resignation of Mayor Terry Brand who will be moving out of the city, making him ineligible to hold the position effective immediately. Tom Bauknecht, Fourth District Alder has accepted the title of Interim Mayor. He will fill the position through the 2025 Spring election.
This leaves an opening for the District 4 Alder position. The Council is accepting applications and cover letters from residents interested in filling the position.
